The Rhetoric Art Of Ge Fei’s "Face Peach Blossom"

Ge Fei,formerly known as Liu Yong,is a scholar-style writer.The structure of his article is as much as like a labyrinth,full of suspense,which gives the readers a feeling of “hard to understand the ture meanning”.Face Peach Blossom is the pinnacle of Ge Fei’ writing,and its delicate language has won the unanimous recognition of a great number of scholars.The present research involving this work mainly focus on the literature structure,theme,narrative way and so on,but few linguistic studies.In this paper,the author,from the perspective of rhetoric and linguistics,basing on Chen Wangdao’s rhetoric and having Wang Xijie’s rhetoric of Chinese and Feng Guangyi’s rhetoric of variation as reference,discusses the rhetoric art of Face Peach blossom.Scrutinizing on the book above,the thesis makes a comprehensive study on the rhetoric art of Face Peach blossom by using the methods of appreciation,induction and statistics.From the begining is the introduction of the status quos of the research to Ge Fei’ writing.The second part allocated to the rhetoric of the word,focusing on the onomatopoeia,overlapping words,verbs and the collocation of words.The third part to the rhetoric of sentence cohesion,mainly analyzing the logical relations within the sentence and the rhetorical effect attached to the commentary part of the sentence.The fourth part pay close attention to the rhetoric of the punctuation,centering on two or more punctuation used in conjunction,ellipsis,dash and its rhetoric effect in the article.In the fifth part,attempting to make a further discussion to the rhetoric of novels from the aspects of the use of rhetoric as well as its rhetorical effect in the Peach Blossom Face,the author analyzes the use of metaphor,imitation,repetition,metonymy and citation in the work in detail.And by the end is the summary of the whole paper.
