Doris lessing’s life has been ups and downs,witnessed the change of the times,the unique life experience made her have her own unique opinion to the real problems.Lessing is a humanist writer,her humanistic thought runs through her whole novel creation process.Lessing early affected by the influence of Marxism,after all sorts of doubt and disappointment,she finally chose to quit the Party.Later,Lessing had a keen interest in Sufism,and the subsequent creation of the novel also revolved around Sufism.The space novel is an important change in the creative style of Lessing,and is also the concrete manifestation of her humanistic thought towards maturity.The complex and changing background of the times and the booming trend of science fiction is the external environment of Lessing’s novel creation translate to space novels,but the determinants of her creative style change are the great changes in her personal thoughts and ideas."The Marriages Between Zones Three,Four and Five" is the second novel of Lessing’s space series novels.Lessing uses fantasy and exaggerated,puts the writing background into a misty unique space,narrates the different living conditions around the Three,Four and Five three zones.This paper describes the process of change between the three districts through the marriage from the closed confrontation to the harmonious coexistence.Although Lessing puts the story background in the universe,her concern is still about the human society which is facing all kinds of survival problems.This thesis is mainly divided into three parts: The first part mainly introduces Lessing and her novel creation,including the definition of space fiction,the main content of space fictions her writing motivation;The second part focuses on the origin of narrative humanism,the process of the formation and development of Lessing’s humanism,and its concrete manifestation in the works.The third part is the subject of the thesis,combined with the specific text of "The Marriages Between Zones Three,Four and Five",based on close reading of the text and the theme of alienation,from the human and nature,people and society,gender relations,as well as the human spirit several dimensions to analyze humanism thought in the works of Lessing’s,her exploration of the reality of human society,her concern of gender relations and the future of human destiny.Lessing,by the form of space fictions,reveals the drawbacks and the various threats and difficulties of human survival that the rapid development of society brings,in order to warn people.Forthe rapid development of China,Lessing’s space fiction has a strong reference,which depicts a lot of scenes are the social reality we are experiencing,we can learn experience and lessons from the fictions for better development of the future.
