A Study On The Chinese-english Simultaneous Interpreting Methods From The Perspective Of Eco-translatology

Simultaneous interpretation is abbreviated as SI,it is widely accepted and used with the development of globalization.The interpreter uses special equipment in the soundproof booth to almost simultaneously interpret the information expressed by the addresser accurately once hearing continuous speech of the source language through earphones.Simultaneous interpretation is frequently used in news broadcasts on TV,which largely enhances the timelessness and the authenticity of the news report.TV simultaneous interpretation develops late in start and single in form in China,mainly focuses on the news report and the interview.Entertaining media simultaneous interpretation develops slowly in China in recent years and attaches more importance to the E-C simultaneous interpretation than C-E simultaneous interpretation.This phenomenon is not in accordance with the status of China,the second largest economic entity.We urgently need to have our voice heard and have China understood.With the deepening of globalization and the development of ecological trend,Professor Hu Gengshen introduced ecology into translation study and established eco-translatology.This thesis selects Professor Hu Gengshen’s eco-translatology as the theoretical guidance and takes the simultaneous interpretation of the 2016 Le Eco Gala as a case to explore how the interpreters adapt to the interpretational environments and how linguistic-dimensional transformation,cultural-dimensional transformation and communicative-dimensional transformation are realized.By case analyzing,the thesis draws the conclusion that the simultaneous interpretation of the 2016 Le Eco Gala reaches a high degree of holistic adaptation and selection.The interpreters adapt to the interpretational environments well and select proper interpreting techniques and methods in linguistic-dimension,cultural-dimension and communicative-dimension.
