| Su Guo(1072-1123),also called Shudang(the style name),Sishu(the nickname)and claimed as Xiechuan Lay Buddhist in his later years,from the Meishan City of Sichuan Province,the third son of the literary giant Su Shi in Song dynasty.As a leader of the Northern Song dynasty literature after Ouyang Xiu,Su Shi achieved outstanding achievements in poetry,prose,calligraphy and painting and was a rare versatile talent of modern and ancient times.Su Guo got such a generalist father’s instruction and edification from an early age;the industrious Su Guo also had special,rich life experiences,which are called " Reading ten thousand books,Traveling ten thousand miles" regarding as the ideal model for ancient literati.Therefore among Sushi’s sons,Su Guo was the most comprehensively inherited his father’s literary and artistic talent,and he has often been praised as" the little and young Sushi " by people.Now his poetry volume Xie chuan handed down from ancient times.Su Guo’s life path can be roughly divided into three stages:the first stage is before the age of 23(1072-1094),he followed his father and took official travels in northern and southern areas;it is his literary accumulation stage,and no identifiable literature works has been discovered so far.The second stage is between the age of 23 and 30 years old(1094-1101),his father was exiled to southern Lingnan area,and then stayed in Huizhou City and Danzhou City.successively for seven years;This period was a sharply improved and mature literature stage for Su Guo;he created 63 poems and 15 pieces of prose which contained many great works,such as "Jufeng fu","Sizitai fu",the two works were even included in his father’s corpus by mistake.The third stage is from thirty years old to fifty-two years(1101-1123),he and his father Sushi went back to the capital of Song dynasty,but his father died in Changzhou apartment during the way.After Funeral Customs&the Wake,Su Guo and his brothers followed his uncle Su Zhe and settled in Yingchang.This stage is the heyday of literary creation for Su Guo,and now there are 224 poems and 70 pieces of prose can be confirmed,which constitutes the main part of Su Guo’s works that handed down from ancient times.There are 287 poems and 85 pieces of prose of Su Guo’s work can be confirmed so far.Among of them,177 poems and 42 pieces of prose were created for socializing,which are more than half of the total number of works.Thus,friendship is undoubtedly one of the main power and sources of its creation in Su Guo’s literary career.Therefore,it is necessary and valuable to analyze and discussed the socializing of the Su Guo’s whole life.This paper studies on Su Guo’s socializing.The full text is divided into three chapters in addition to the introduction and the appendix.The introduction firstly reviews current main studies about Su Guo and its main achievements,then summarizes the overall situation of his socializing,and points out the value and significance.The first chapter is divided into four parts respectively about Su Guo’s family background,life experiences,literature achievements,corpus dissemination and collation.The second chapter analysis on figure composition including three parts:The first part are the elders,they were six figures totally:Chao Gu,Dao Qian,Zhang Lei,lee Jian,Wang Gong,Chang Anmin;The second part are friends related to poetry and literary who are divided into two types:those who are government officials,such as Ye Mengde,Lv Benzhong Zhao Dingchen,zhang,fan Liao,they are 72 people in total;those who are nine monks totally like Wu Fugu,Deng Shouan,Tan Xiu.The third part includes the minors and the disciples,they are five persons:Su Yuanlao,Lee Zhi etc.Chapter three is about the case study of Su Guo’s socializing.The charpter will examine the six figures who were special or had deeper influence on Su Guo and socialised with Su Guo they are Dao Qian,Lv Benzhong,Ye Mengde,Fan Liao,Zhao Dingchen,GaoQiu.The appendix part covers there contents,including Su Guo’s chronology,socializing friends’ character list and the references. |
