| As a new social application launched by Tencent in 2011,WeChat has become one of people’s daily activities and been popular widely in recent years,and it’s the fastest-growing application and Internet services.It is worth to explore the benefits of psychology users can get from WeChat and the influence on individual life satisfaction.Lots of researches have show that there is a close relationship among social support,social comparison tendency and life satisfaction,but the relationship between social support get from social network sites and life satisfaction still worth further discussing.This study has explore the WeChat users and their WeChat(one of social network sites)use intensity,the overall level of online social support,social comparison tendency and life satisfaction,and discussed the relationship among WeChat use intensity,online social support,social comparison tendency and life satisfaction.We hope to make some reliable suggestions to the users of WeChat to get more benefits from the using behavior and make positive influence on their life satisfaction.Moreover,we hope our study can provide some reference for future study in the field of research.This research has been divided in two parts,according to the relevant researches of social network sites,we revised Perceived Social Support Scale to measure in the environment of WeChat in the first part;and in the second part,we discussed the relationship among WeChat use intensity,online social support,social comparison tendency and life satisfaction.Method :In the first part of this research,we translated Perceived Social Support Scale and organized a predicted test to ensure its reliability and validity by the methods of exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis.We get 350 WeChat users from five provinces by the method of cluster random sampling,and make some questionnaire survey about WeChat use intensity,online social support,social comparison tendency and life satisfaction.We collected 310 valid data to statistic analysis finally.The main software to statistic analysis were AMOS17.0,SPSS20.0 and its plug-in called PROCESS.Findings are as follows :Firstly,the revision of Online Perceived Social Support Scale has great reliability and validity to measure in the environment of WeChat.Secondly,the users of WeChat show an average level in the number of WeChat friends and the daily using time,but a relatively high level in emotional engagement.As a whole,there is a relatively high level in user’s WeChat using intensity and online social support,but an average level in social comparison tendency and life satisfaction.Thirdly,there is a significant difference in WeChat using intensity between user’s age and education;there is a significant difference in online social support between user’s age and education;there is a significant difference in social comparison tendency in user’s age.Fourthly,there is a significant relationship among WeChat use intensity,online social support,social comparison tendency and life satisfaction,except no significant relationship between online social support and social comparison tendency.Fifth,online social support has mediating effect between WeChat using intensity and life satisfaction;social comparison tendency has moderated its mediating effect between WeChat using intensity and life satisfaction. |
