Study Of Female Characters Of Home Drama In Contemporary Japan(2010-2016)

The Japanese TV industry,as an essential part of Japanese culture and the carrier,has already reached the top level in Asia back into the mid-20th century.Japanese drama has varied themes with wide range.As most of the audience of popular TV series is family and women.Home drama has been occupying an important position mainly in the Japanese TV drama industry overall its development.Standing on the starting point of cultural studies,the author will focus on female characters from the Japanese contemporary family ethics drama(home drama).The female images of the ethical drama classified as the object of this article are from 27 home dramas which were broadcasted in Japan from 2010 to 2016.The whole thesis tries to outline the development of feminism in contemporary Japan through the change of female image in artistic works.In order to achieve the study mentioned above,this article,using the feminist point of view,is divided into five parts,four chapters.The introduction part mainly introduces the research background and significance of this topic,the research status,the method and the main research frame.From the first chapter to the fourth chapter,the female image is respectively divided into mothers,wives,daughters and lovers.Based on which,the discourse of each chapter adopts the dichotomy to divide the different types of female images into traditional image features and new image features to analyze and contrast,thus showing different types of Japanese female images in different relationship environment How to oppose and control her patriarchal society and its moral standards to resist,struggle,and how the traditional female image in the Japanese drama was challenged and subverted.Finally,the author expresses her own views on the changes in the status of women through the family ethical drama,giving some advices on the development of ethical drama in China.
