In recent years,with the rapid development of Chinese economic,the promotion of Chinese International status and the charm of Chinese culture,more and more people start to learn Chinese around the world.Learning Chinese become one of the popular trends in modern society,and so does in Mongolia.There are a certain scale of Mongolian people are learning Chinese,especially for those who are Mongolian college students.Do the Mongolian students know the Chinese learning process very well?How about their ability&level on knowing&controlling the process of Chinese learning?To research Mongolian college students on Chinese Learning Metacognition,in which has theoretical value and practical significance.It helps Mongolian college students to master Chinese learning characteristics and rules,and it also help them to improve the consciousness and ability of learning Chinese.In this this thesis,according to use investigation and statistical methods to describe the situation about Mongolian college students on Chinese learning Metacognition,and then analyze how does different factors influence Chinese Learning Metacognition,such as gender,learning nature,whether in the target country,Chinese level,the degree of love in Chinese.What's more,according to interview method to compare the differences of Chinese learning Metacognition between excellent students and underachievers.This thesis consists of five chapters.The first chapter is introduction part,which mainly introduces the significance of topic,the research overview about Metacognition questions in China and Mongolia,and the research questions&methods.In the second chapter,mainly describes the research statistical result about Mongolian college students on Chinese learning Metacognition.Then analyze the basic situations from 3 different dimensions,such as Metacognition knowledge,Metacognition experience and Metacognition monitoring.In addition,analyzing how do the personal factors influence the Metacognition.Research result shows that,3 dimensions of Metacognition are quite good during Mongolian students learning Chinese.From Metacognition knowledge aspects,Mongolian college students have a better understanding on Chinese Learning purpose&the nature of learning task.They know their learning ability aspects very well.But on the other hand,they are not good at the knowledge level of learning strategy.In the aspect of Metacognition experience,the confidence level data is highest among all the research data,especially the degree of interest and satisfaction.But the insisting degree is relatively lower than other aspects.In Metacognition monitoring aspect,Mongolian college students have better ability on planning Chinese learning.Their Chinese learning adjustment ability and evaluation ability are slightly lower.There are several different factors influence Mongolian college students on Chinese learning Metacognition,such as different gender,educational background,learning countries,the level of Chinese and the degree of loving Chinese etc.These personal differences are the important factors that influence the ability and level of Metacognition.In the third chapter,we use interview method to start out research project.According to compare the Metacognition difference between excellent students and underachievers.We found that excellent students have clearer learning goals,and they have detailed study plan,so that they have confidence in learning Chinese.On the contrary,underachievers know about their learning tasks,but do not quite understand their learning goals and plans,so that they are not very satisfied with the study.In the fourth chapter,we provide some suggestions for Mongolian college students on improving Chinese learning Metacognition.In the fifth chapter,we draw a conclusion about this thesis.We hope this thesis can help Mongolian Chinese learners to improve the ability of Chinese learning Metacognition,and help to promote some correlational research in this field.
