A Report On The Interpreting For The Electric Vehicle Project Of Mianyang Innovation Center

Nowadays,environmental protection has been put on a must-do list among all the urgent international problems.Electric vehicles rise in the market in response to the proper time and conditions and its status in the market is becoming more and more important.Therefore,business activities like importing advanced technology and investment lead to greater demand for interpreters in electric vehicle industry.This interpreting program is deputed from the author’s supervisor.It is an interpreting practice report based on this program which leads to a potential cooperation between the Chairman of HTM,an Italy famous designer and the counterparts in Mianyang so that to build a complete manufacturing assembly line of electric vehicles in Mianyang.This report concerns consecutive interpreting.In this practice report,the author has analysis the difficulties during interpreting and how did the author solve them.During the whole process,the author has encountered a host of difficulties and obstacles.For example,there are a lot of technical terms and long sentences,and sometimes the speaking speed is too fast to take note to interpret and so on.So the author needs to get well prepared before interpreting and use interpreting tactics that has learnt in class to deal with these problems,for example,split long sentences into several short sentences or omit some examples or sometime interrupt the speaker if it is necessary.The author has learned much from this practice.For example,long-term preparation and short-term interpreting are both important as well as note-taking.And the author needs to improve her psychological quality so that she can interpret fluently even facing some unfamiliar fields as well as improve her note-taking skills.And the author has also learned how to be a responsible interpreter,although there are many deficiencies.Meanwhile,the author has gained valuable experience---striving for the best.With the interpreter’s efforts,the project turned out to be a great success and the new energy program has been carried out in Mianyang smoothly.
