The Image Of Mothers In The Eyes Of Female Oil Painters-The Different Interpretations By Chinese And Western Oil Painters

In the long history of painting,works focused on the image of mothers have always taken an important place,which have also become a top concern.For all the human beings,the image of mothers,refers to an important carrier of life and destination for human emotion.Therefore,for people at all times and classes,their emotion towards mothers is eternal.At present,works concerning this topic are also given great priority.Through the different descriptions,oil painters make attempts to interpret the greatness of mothers and their devotion to children,family and society as well.Meanwhile,within the different times,oils painters have their own pursuit,which lay the foundation to the instinctive images of mothers.Their works enjoyed outstanding artistic features,especially in the female painters works.On the contrary,Chinese artists often interpret the image of mothers in a totally different way.This thesis aims to explore the different images of mothers in the works of Chinese and European female oil painters.
