Thanks to the development of modern economy and the progress of science and technology,there has been a cross-regional and large-scale population flow .Thus the increasingly rich and fair education resources have made the college students become an important part of the "flow". On one hand,a new cultural environment provides a valuable opportunity for the students to raise their ability ;on the other,the pressure of displaced loneliness and the integration into the new environment, is also a threat to the healthy growth of them; additionally ,the discrimination on ethnic and regional consciousness has became a dangerous "invisible killer" to individual well-being .For the cross-regional "minority" ,psychological stress directly affects the school performance, interpersonal communication, and the physical and mental health ,which is not only related to the students’ personal growth and development,but also relates to the happiness of the family, and the national talent cultivation,economic development and social harmony.From adult attachment, place attachment, community attachment and a series of theoretical discussion, we settled the theoretical foundation of the cultural attachment,which describes the emotional connection between individual, group and culture .Culture ,as attachment figure,impacts individual perceived discrimination,selection of cultural adaptation strategies and subjective well-being .But still not for sure if cultural attachment can alleviate perceived discrimination, enhance the level of resilience, and thus alleviate their stress distress.Firstly ,this study hired 37 mainland exchange students who study in Taiwan as the subjects ,then completed cultural attachment experiments .Secondly ,the study hired 758 college students who study in Heilongjiang, Jilin,Liaoning, Shandong,Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi, Zhejiang, Hunan, Hubei, Guangxi, Beijing,Shanghai and other places ,then completed the questionnaire survey.The main conclusion as following:(1) The cultural attachment theory is suited to Chinese college students, culture can act as attachment figure ,and stimulate positive emotions;(2) The cultural attachment dimensions (home culture attachment anxiety and attachment avoidance,host culture attachment anxiety and attachment avoidance),perceived discrimination (everyday perceived discrimination, school perceived discrimination), resilience(target focus, interpersonal assist, family support, emotional control, positive cognitive) and stress distress (depression, anxiety,hostility,somatization) were significantly related;(3) Cultural attachment can significantly positively predict stress distress (the predictive power size in order is home culture attachment anxiety,home culture attachment avoidance,host culture attachment anxiety and host culture attachment avoidance,);Cultural attachment can significantly positively predict perceived discrimination;perceived discrimination can significantly positively predict psychological pressure;(4) Cultural attachment can significantly negative predict stress distress;resilience can significantly negatively predict stress distress(the predictive power size in order is emotional control, interpersonal assist, family support and positive cognitive);(5) Perceived discrimination and resilience are mediators between cultural attachment and stress distress.
