With rapid development of China’s economy and frequent communication among countries,many interpreters are badly needed for all kinds of international conferences.Interpreting is a kind of language communication event, which means the interpreter choose the consecutive or simultaneous way to verbally convey the full meaning of the information from the source language into the target language. Interpretation includes many types, in which the Conference Interpretation is the most common one. In general,the Conference Interpretation includes two models, Simultaneous Interpretation and Consecutive Interpretation. Conference Interpretation plays a vital role in all fields of international conferences. Exactly international communication has expanded into spiritual and cultural fields from economy, environment and international affairs, and overall it tends to diversified and frequent. Between the two languages, these kinds of cross-language and cross-culture activities can help to improve a good comprehension for listeners of the target language.Hence China’s research on interpreting theories and teaching develops relatively late and still has much room for further development. In the process of interpreting,comprehension is the most essential steps and also the most overlooked steps. The ignorance of the comprehension will cause comprehension barriers for interpreters.Therefore, comprehension cannot confine to deeply analyze lexical meaning, linguistic elements or sentence structure. Interpreter should consciously explore the information or the underlying information of the target language from logical relationship between the two languages, and not just the linguistic knowledge. In addition, there are some factors will directly influence the quality of comprehension, for example, interpreter’s professional knowledge, background of relevant interpreting work, anti-pressure ability and so on. If interpreter does not master some basic requirements, principles and knowledge, it will affect its comprehension and even the quality of the interpreting work.Gile’s Interpretation Comprehension Equation is that interpreter’s comprehension is determined by linguistic knowledge, extra-linguistic knowledge and analysis. According to author’s interpreting practices, she chooses Gile’s Interpretation Comprehension Equation as the basic theory to guide the interpreting training is that because it’s very meaningful for interpreting work.As a practice report, this thesis is generally divided into two parts. The first part notes the whole process of the interpreting training and found the problems on the premise of no corresponding original text and translation text. The second part aims to analyze, resolve and conclude the problems. After applying and analyzing Gile’s Interpreting theory, the thesis is mainly to give comparison and conclusion to the original translation text and the text which is done under the guidance of Gile’s Interpreting theory. All of these are intend to solve the specific problems on a case by case basis.Through the search on the application of Gile’s Interpreting Comprehension Equation and the barriers which may occur in consecutive interpretation, the thesis suggests that Gile’s Interpreting theory can be used for improving is kills, strategies and methods of interpreting, reducing knowledge barriers, comprehension barriers, analysis barriers and other barriers. Only in these ways, it can help interpreter to have a better understanding on interpreting work and truly improve the interpreting level.
