International communication has become more and more frequent. Interpreting, as a necessary part, plays a pivotal role in cross-cultural communication and exchange. And EST ( English for science and technology) interpreting differs from other types of interpreting because of its features of technical terms and knowledge, so it places higher demands on technical interpreters. In 2016, the reporter served as an interpreter in the INCC EST interpreting project, which included three events: the Iran Latest Nano Technology Promotion and Matchmaking Event, TAVANA Class on Nano Technology, and the CHInano 2016 Conference & Expo. Based on the interpreting project this report aims to provide detailed analyses on the interpreting project, especially the major issues and difficulties in the project and to offer solutions to these difficulties respectively. The major difficulties the reporter encountered in the project include preparation issues, accent and comprehension barriers and unpredictable situations. And the solutions are making adequate preparation, being familiar with English with Iranian accent and training the ability to tackle emergencies. This report is expected to provide some help for other interpreters.
