| Boarding the express train of hi-tech industry,increasing thriving domestic tech enterprises are ready to access the international market.For them,the Chinese-English(C-E)translation of websites plays an significant role,as website is an important platform for production and brand promotion in international market.This report describes a project of 15,000 characters,which includes three parts,company profile,product introduction and other necessary information.Reiss’ text typology theory serves as the report’s theoretical foundation.According to the theory,the primary function of the source is enterprise publicity,so that translation style is determined as direct,concise,professional and readable,which also confirm to target readers’ preferences and target text style.Accordingly,translation strategies such as omission,rewriting and using operators are adopted to achieve expected translation style,thereby fulfilling the final task of enterprise publicity.With this project,the author summarizes experiences and skills of the publicity translation of sci-tech enterprises,and looks forward to helping others translating similar texts. |
