| This research introduces psychology capital into the discussion on career maturity and vocational delay of gratification, and examines the role of psychological capital in the process of career maturity affecting vocational delay of gratification, so as to explore the ascension path of college students’ vocational delay of gratification, and promote the formation of correct and pragmatic job concept and view of employment. In this research,the Chinese student career maturity inventory,positive psychology capital questionnaire and vocational delay of gratification questionnaire, used as research tools, helps to study the career maturity, psychological capital and vocational delay of gratification of 450 students in four undergraduate colleges in Changsha and the relationship among them as well. Its conclusions are listed as follows.1.The career maturity,psychological capital and vocational delay of gratification of college students are at upper intermediate level.2.College students’ career maturity is significantly different in the academic maturity, grade and student community experience.The psychological capital of them has obviously differences in student cadre experience and student community experience.Their vocational delay of gratificationy varies significantly in the experience of student cadres,student community experience and whether they are the only child in their family or not.3.Remarkable positive correlations can be observed among college students’ career maturity, psychological capital and vocational delay of gratification.4.The career maturity and psychological capital of college students have a positive predictive effect on vocational delay of gratification.5.College students’psychological capital has a complete intermediary effect between career maturity and vocational delay of gratification. |
