| The period of the Republic of China was a special period of great changes in Chinese soc ial patterns.During this period,the design of the female image in the movie poster has its own unique content expression.By using the method of Image Semiotics,the study makes the introductions of specific cases to classify the connotation of female image and the form of design in the poster,and explores the inner relationship between the female image symbol and the social ideology at that time.Through this,the study forms the ideas and characteristics of Image Design.This paper started from the beginning of Chinese movie posters in the 1920 s,portraying an overall poster history including the development history background,movie poster design and historical events,within the movie production industry context.After having a general structure,the paper took the image of “Modern Girls” in the poster into analyzation.This image design expressed the change of the social aesthetic towards feminine figure,the consumption concept and the gender idea in the background of the emergence of the urban modernization,and shows the conflict between the western culture and the local ideology.Then comes the poster “Resistant Woman” image analysis.This image design shows the construction of the female image in the background of social unrest in the background of social unrest,and explores ways to present the social role and strength of the women at the time of image symbol design.Lastly,the paper analyzes the relationship between gender relations in film posters,and analyzes the feminine image of “gender relations”,“revolutionary partner” and “triangle love”,and discusses the design considerations of“Feminism” in movie posters.Based on the study of the connotation and expression of the design of female image in the movie poster during the Republic of China,this research explores the international relation between female image and the narration in movie and summarizes how the movie carries out design communication centering on narration in modern China in thought and method.This paper also puts forward an opinion to study and design the female image at that time by taking “modern” and “resistance” as two links.This research also provides a new research perspective as a reference for the formation and evolution of female image design in modern China. |
