The Impact Of Economic Compensation And Commitment On Trust Repair Under Different Trust Violation Types

Trust plays an important role in social and economic life.However,in daily life,trust is often violated.Studies have shown that trust violations create a number of negative effects on organizations and individuals.Therefore,the restoration of trust has received more and more attention.Strategies of trust repair are divided into verbal repair strategies and substantive repair strategies.Previous studies have focused more on the effect of a single type of repair strategy on trust,rather than comparing the two.This study aims to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of verbal remediation strategies and substantive remediation strategies by examining the effects of economic compensation and commitment on the restoration of trust.In addition,according to past findings,trust violations are divided into the competency-based trust violation and the integrity-based trust violation.And the existing research on the economic compensation and commitment does not involve the type of trust violation analysis.In this paper,based on the research on the findings of trust restoration at home and abroad,the experimental method is used to study the effect of economic compensation and commitment on trust under different trust violations.We draw the following conclusions from two experiments.(1)Under the condition of the competency-based trust violation,the economic compensation and the promise can repair the damaged trust,and there is no significant difference in the repair effect between the two.(2)Under the condition of the integrity-based trust violation,economic compensation and commitment can repair the damaged trust,but the economic compensation is better than the promise of trust.(3)There is no significant difference in the effect of the economic compensation and the commitment on the repair of trust for different sex subjects.(4)There is no significant difference in the effect of economic compensation on different types of trust repair,and there is no significant difference in the effect of trust repair under different types.
