New Study On Shi Yannian And His Poetry

Shi Yannian,the man of letters and calligrapher,mainly campaigns in the Zhenzong and Renzong years of Northern Song Dynasty.In this period,the climax of the early Song Dynasty follow Tang poetry is gradually receded,and the malpractice of the three styles in early Song Dynasty have been exposed.In order to correct the soft floating atmosphere which diffuse the Parnassus for sixty or seventy years,Shi Yannian with Ou Yangxiu,Mei Yaochen and others together,consciously advocate retro and flat simple of writing style.Shi Yannian’s active and beneficial exploration practice in poetry creation took the lead in trying to start the poetic innovation.The thesis consists of four parts.Firstly,the writer begins with the life of Shi Yannian,to researches Shi Yannian’s official experience in outland and supplements Shi Yannian’s communication.In addition,the writer gathers the situation of including Shi Yannian’s poems and confirms the ascription of the poem <Liu Hua>.Secondly,analyze the poetry content.Shi Yannian’s poems can be divided into three categories according to the content.These poems convey the poet’s peace and mind,highlight the poet’s emotion and express their aspirations.Through the analysis of poetry,we can see that Shi Yannian took a breakthrough in the poetry language,artistic and other aspects.Thirdly,dissect the bold and generous style and its origin.The bold and generous style reflects in the language,realm,poetic body and other aspects.The formation of the bold and generous style is originate from the depressed style of Du Fu,the bizarrerie of Han Meng school of poetry-writing,and the generous’ poem style,unrestrained attitude of Wei Jin scholar.Finally,to probe Shi Yannian’s poetry macroscopically in the middle of Northern Song Dynasty.The writer analyzes the changeable poetic tendencies implied in Shi’s poetry.The poetic style of its strong cheerful song make a contribution for the Song Poetry’s change.Moreover,Shi Yannian had a pioneering significance in the subject-matter of collection poems,and made an early attempt and demonstration for later creation like Wang Anshi,Wen Tianxiang and other poets.
