The Practice And Reconstruction Of Shanxi Lineage From The Ming And Qing Dynasties

This thesis based on the history,combined with anthropology,sociology,and other multid isciplinary research methods;based on chorography,historical documents and other traditional literature,using the first-hand information,inc lud ing the Ming Dynasty ep itaph,inscriptions,Yan Shi lineage genealogy,oral interviews,and through participation observation,literature research with the combination of field investigation,combining case study with overall study,combining micro analysis and macro analysis.It is using time as links teases Xi Zhai Yanshi lineage’s history whole and longtime as an examp le,reflect the evo lution of social history and the process and characteristics of the development,construction and reconstruction of the rural clans in North China.The examp le is development awareness of the lineage.At present,there are three views in academia: Functionality lineage,Pedigree lineage,Culture and Institution lineage.Based on observed by Xi Zhai Yanshi lineage of Taiyuan,the author believes that lineage is a practice and process,the essence of the lineage is the traditional Chinese culture,and the Northern lineage is a kind of cultural practice lineage.The examp le Xi Zhai Yanshi lineage broke the misunderstand ing that lineage in North China is seclusion and anti-foreignism.In 1996,when XI Zhai Yanshi lineage began to editing the genealogy,there inc luded around five villages and have now links over more than 20 villages to repair there genealogy.This is reflecting the openness and inc lusiveness of the Northern lineage.Summer of 2015,Xi Zhai Yanshi lineage holds The national Yan Shi lineage Gathering,it is also reflects the possibility of lineage alliance and lineage practicality in North China.The contemporary revival of XI Zhai Yanshi lineage also has a strong times and practical significance.Xi Zhai village is fac ing a whole village demolition in the urbanization transformation.Lineage’s geographic advantage will to be a question when the countryside disappears.There is a good example that Yan Shi combined lineage development with the urbanization of villages and towns,and redefine the d irection of the lineage.Because of the Ming and Qing keju talent,Yan ruoqu who is a historical and cultural celebrity as Yanshi lineage member,the graves excavated of the Ming dynasty,and compiled historical documents.They are retained as ancestral temple and Guandi temple of private property successful.
