The Research Of The Divan-i Gada

Uyghur classic literature became most prosperous in the 14^th and 15^th century with the variety of its content,wide themes and diversity on form.One of the representatives of 15^th century C hagatay literature Gada`i is a productive poet of his time.He is widely recognized among people with his fruitful literary works,unique styles.While observing the classic literary style,he also manifested his distinctive poetic style in his masterpiece Divan-i Gada.As a valuable work written by Gada`i,researches on Divan-i Gada have far reaching significance,since this masterpiece is featured with different forms,special narration techniques and brevity.Researches on Divan will not only deepen the Uyghur classic literature study but also enables us to understand more about the Gada`i’s works from different aspects.Therefore,this thesis will analyze 237 poems collected in Divan-i Gada.The thesis is mainly divided into three parts including introduction,main body and conclusion.The first part,introduction,puts forward the aim and significance of the topic as well as the literature reviews in China and abroad.The second part,main body of the thesis,is further divided into three chapters.In the first chapter,Gada`i and Divan-i Gada,the life of the poet and the literary environment at that time are introduced together with his work Divan-i Gada.The second chapter focuses on the content of the work.The poet’s features in writing the poems,his philosophical views and social ethical views are also presented.The third chapter deals with the poetic features of Divan-i Gada by analyzing the metrical and rhythmic characteristics of it.In the conclusion part,the thesis research questions are concluded and the existing limitations are pointed out.In general,this thesis reviews,analyses poet Gada`i creative styles and his masterpiece Divan-i Gada’s distinctive features.
