Study On Zulfiye Kultegin’s Fiction Creation | | Posted on:2018-08-09 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:L M B E N J M D Gu | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2335330533956327 | Subject:Chinese Language and Literature | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | Zulfiye Kultegin took her first step onto the literary stage after the completion of her first novel,Necklace,in the late 1980 s.Taking a glimpse into her almost thirty year-long literary career,we can see that Zulfiye Kultegin has always taken prose as her main endeavour and has continually strived to challenge herself through the writing of short,medium and full-length novels.This has not only helped her develop herself as a well-rounded writer,but has also given endless joy to a multitude of readers,especially through publications such as K?yükke dawa yoq(roughly translating as ‘There is no cure for love’).At first,Zulfiye Kultegin’s creative flair could be seen in the somewhat smaller and simpler aspects of her life,but later on she grew to become one of the only Uyghur female writers to write vivid prose.This paper takes Zulfiye Kultegin’s works of prose as its main object of research and aims to not only provide an academic discussion on her literary achievements,but also provide an in-depth analysis on the subject matter and artistic features in her work.In total,this thesis is comprised of four major sections,including an introduction,a main section which can be further divided into three chapters,a conclusion and an appendix.The introductory section focuses not only on the purpose,significance and scope of this paper’s research,but also comments upon on previous academic results and the methodologies used during investigation.Chapter One of the main section gives a brief introduction into the life of Zulfiye Kultegin and an overview of her literary creations.This is then followed by a disussion on the major features of her literary works,focusing on both her initial period of literary exploration before the turn of the century and her more mature stage of literary development which came thereafter.Chapter Two of the main section focuses on the content of Zulfiye Kultegin’s works and examines the overriding theme of concern for the fate of women and the unmasking of outdated customs and ideals.Chapter Three of the main section takes Zulfiye Kultegin’s use of narrative technique in her works of prose as object of discussion and provides a brief analysis on the major characteristics of her narrative style.The conclusion not only states the strengths and weaknesses of Zulfiye Kultegin’s literary innovations,but also touches on the solved and unsolved problems which one may face whilst undertaking related research.The appendix provides a complete list of all of Zulfiye Kultegin’s publications to date. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Zulfiye Kultegin, Prose, Content, Subject Matter, Artistic Features | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
