The world is in the advancement of globalization and in the evolution of the identical trend. However, the world is also featured by localization, resulting in the forming of multi-cultural patterns with territoriality and nationality,in which translation plays an essential role and is the product of globalization. This report is a summary of the translation of the sixth chapter A Global View of Translation Studies: Towards an Interdisciplinary Field and the seventh chapter Transgression and Appropriation in Transnational Cultural Translation: A Deconstructive Observation of Translation Globalization And Localization A Chinese Perspective,co-edited by Wang Ning and Sun Yingfeng. As the first edition of China’s translation symposium by western publisher, the two chapters are about the translation study from the perspective of globalization and transgression with appropriation in deconstruction, which has much value in global translation. The translation may offer some new ideas of translation studies for those majoring in English translation and people working in other foreign language translation.Based on the translation theory proposed by Nida Eugene’s dynamic equivalence, the translation techniques are applied from the perspective of dynamic equivalence. The report falls into four parts. The first part is the task description of the translated material, which tells of the source text of the translation material and its style;the second part focuses on the translation process;the third part is a study of this translation practice, presenting the lexical analysis, syntactic analysis and discourse analysis in translation;the fourth part is the conclusion drawn from the translation practice.By choosing and analyzing key examples, this report endeavors to display certain translation techniques in the translation practice, such as the conversion of passive voice to active voice, repetition, division, inversion and so on.
