Daiyang town is located in the superior geographical position and has a long smelting industry.The smelting industry provides raw materials for the development of needles,and handmade needle is a product of the extension of Daiyang smelting and form a major local industry.The needle industry formed in the Ming Dynasty,develop Qing Qianlong period,and decline after the opium war,during 300 years.Needle industry in the development process,relying on Shanxi business,the market spread to the whole country and even abroad.Daiyang town has therefore been given the "Kyushu needle are" the title.Needle industry rise and fall related people’s production and life intertwined,affects the local people’s emotions and values.The organization,beliefs,customs,etc in the course of the development of the needle industry has become a part of people’s lives,the needle industry in Daiyang through custom and the Industry organization,become a social force,added to participate in each of the individual.As one of the most basic,the folk custom has penetration in the thinking of people.The development of needle industry in Daiyang has gradually influenced the values of the local people.About the relationship between government and business different from the "restraining commerce",it is more reflected in "to be a official is as important as ding business" and "taking heavy official" concept.The development of the Ming and Qing Dynasties Daiyang needle industry,not only enrich the local people’s material life,but also affects their social life and spiritual life.The local folk beliefs and folk activities have great relationship with local smelting,with local characteristics.This article embarks from the smelting of Jin City in Shanxi,discussion and analysis the formation and development of the Ming and Qing Dynasties Daiyang needle industry,as well as the local people’s customs,thoughts and feelings.This paper explores and studies the people and life in the traditional industry in the Ming and Qing Dynasties,hoping to more comprehensive understanding of the historical development of Daiyang needle and the villagers living in the traditional industry.
