| Since the heated discussion in the 1980 s,many researchers have always concerned about the issue of Chinese culture in teaching Chinese to foreigners,including the writer of this paper.With the rapid development of technology and widespread of new Internet-surfing devices(smart phones,tablets,etc.),Facebook,Instagram and Wechat become an indispensable social tool in people’s lives.Can these social network softwares help foreigners with Chinese-language-learning? Can they be an aid to traditional classroom teaching? Based on these thinkings,according to the learning theory of constructivism and the writer’s teaching practice in Chile,the present paper intends to explore the appliance of Facebook in overseas Chinese-culture-teaching,by reviewing related references and development of social network software.After the teaching experiment,the writer made an evaluation about the research by exam and interview.Finally,the inclusion of this research is that Facebook can be an efficient aid to Chinese-culture-teaching,but we must strengthen the integration of learning resources in Facebook and teacher’s monitoring and guidance. |
