| As a new economic pattern, Airport economy is results of rapid high-tech industry development and economic globalization. Practices have proved that airport economy can be powerful impetus for the readjustment of local economy and industrial structure, and stimulating service industry and speeding up the transformation of economic development model. In 2011, the Guangdong provincial government decided to set up Guangzhou Aerotropolis Development District(GADD).This report discussed barriers the author encountered caused by culture and expression difference in translation. Christiane Nord put forward three rules of the skopos theory, that is, Skopos rule, coherence rule and fidelity rule. In the translation process, Skopos rule should be top priority, more importantly, the target text should be presented in the context that the audiences expect to. By textual analysis, the author found that Skopos is helpful to the translation of Industrial Development Planning of Guangzhou Aerotropolis Development District. 0n the basis of Skopos,the author analyzed the source text from the aspect of words, syntax and textual. The author deems that flexible translation strategies should be adopted to serve for a fluent translation work and meet the information needs of target readers as well.Therefore, the main translation strategies the author adopted including adding,omission and word conversion.This report is made up of two parts:(a) Preparations before translation, parallel texts, appropriate translation tools, and designing schedule;(b) Translation Strategies for the translation of industrial development planning under the framework of Skopos theory and analyzing of representative cases.Through this translation project, the author improved her understanding onpublicity translation and the ability to put Skopos and relative translation strategies into translation practice.
