The Vocabulary Size Research Of Chinese As A Second Language

Vocabulary acquisition is an important part of language learning,lexical knowledge acquisition is the key to vocabulary acquisition.Vocabulary knowledge can be divided into the breadth of vocabulary knowledge and depth of vocabulary knowledge,but also can be divided into the receptive vocabulary knowledge and productive vocabulary knowledge,including the shape,sound,meaning,grammatical function.The usual sense of the vocabulary is known as the breadth of vocabulary knowledge or receptive vocabulary knowledge,in the top layer of vocabulary knowledge.The vocabulary size affect the language learning directly.Therefore,this study will attempt to use corpus statistical analysis,the method of language testing,preliminary exploration of the developing principles of vocabulary measurement tools,to generate a vocabulary test questions for measuring the level of students’ vocabulary.Using the generated vocabulary level test,we measure 60 students,including the senior-level and middle-level.According to test results,at first,we used the SPSS software made statistical analysis,it was proved that of the test had the high reliability.Secondly,the test results were explained,and we gave the method of calculation of the level of vocabulary.Again,further data analysis found that:(1)The Chinese Proficiency impact on significant the students’ vocabulary level.(2)Word frequency impact each level students.(3)Chinese cultural circle or not affected the level of vocabulary of the students.(4)The part of speech impact on the scores of level test.Intermediate level or advanced level,different parts of speech word vocabulary tests have shown more consistent error rate.The descending order is: verb> adjective>noun...
