Since the reform and opening-up,remarkable economic achievements have been made in China.At the same time,economic crimes-especially corruption and money laundering cases greatly increased.How to combat such financial crimes has been the crucial issue which must be resolved for Chinese government.Learning and studying the experiences of the international community will play a positive role in punishing economic corruption and anti-money laundering in our country.So the translation of such legal documents will provide important and practical significance for China’s economic development.The Philippine legal text “Anti-Money Laundering & Combating Financing of Terrorism(AMLCFT)Policy Guidelines” is an important legal document dealing with economic crimes.The Chinese version has not yet been published in China,so the translation project could provide references for China to combat economic crimes.By referring to a large number of related books and consulting with relevant experts and scholars,the author finished the translation project.The translation report details the entire translation process.Under the guidance of Hans Vermeer’s Skopos Theory,the author translates the text and analyzes the translation cases.During the process,the author mainly focuses on the translation difficulties,such as legal terms,long sentences and discourse.Meanwhile he summarizes the use of related translation strategies and techniques which will provide references for future translation practice.
