Study On The Preservation And Development Of Cultural Routes

“Cultural Routes” was firstly used by European Commission in 1987,the purpose is to show the difference culture context in different countries,which compositing a whole part,and it can be used to develop tourism.After that,the definition has been modified by UNESCO and ICOMOS etc.In the year 2003,UNESCO has formally put forward that cultural routes is divided in a new type of the world heritage.In the year2008,ICOMOS has put forward The ICOMOS Chapter on Cultural Routes.Cultural routes include three aspects: it is a new type of preservation of the cultural heritage;it is an approach to assessing the value of cultural heritage;and it is a new thought about preservation,planning and development.Thus,cultural routes should be developed and utilized on the premise of conservation priority.The paper mainly studies the protection system and exploitation and utilization mode of cultural routes,improves the content of conservation planning,and explores a new path of urbanization based on the protection and development of cultural routes.On the basis of comprehensively learning currently available research achievements,the paper refers to the historical routes and cultural landscape and combines empirical studies about cultural routes in Shao guan to come up with solutions to problems relating to the protection and development of cultural routes under the background of rapid urbanization and apply the research achievement in the new urbanization construction practice.The paper hopes to probe into a new path of urbanization based on the protection and development of cultural routes and confirm the objects to be protected on the basis of improving the content of conservation planning;conducts a value assessment in aspects like history,culture,science,art,ecology,recreation,social economy etc.;explores the planning principles of protection and utilization based on the values and functions of various protection objects in the cultural routes,and puts forward the protection planning system and exploitation and utilization mode of cultural routes;works out the protection system and sustainable development strategies of the cultural routes,and probes into the concrete implementation models.The First Chapter: By reflecting on problems relating to the protection and development of cultural routes under the current background of domestic rapid urbanization,the paper tries to explore trans-regional methods to protect cultural heritages.The Second Chapter: This chapter is mainly about literature review.The author briefly introduces the research and development status,practical experience and research achievements of cultural routes at home and abroad,providing theoretical basis and experience reference for the paper.The Third Chapter: This chapter briefly introduces the research objects and demonstrates the necessity and significance to introduce “cultural routes” into the protection of historical culture.The Fourth Chapter: The paper confirms the protection targets of cultural routes in Shaoguan,analyzes and evaluates the cultural characteristics of cultural routes in Shaoguan,and comes up with a preliminary system to protect the cultural routes.The Fifth Chapter: The paper puts forward the strategies to protect and develop cultural routes in Shaoguan from four aspects,namely spatial strategy,cultural strategy,tourism strategy and management strategy.
