| There are three research questions to be solved in this research.Namely as multimodal oral English teaching mode is put to use in class,will it help upgrade students in their oral English ability;whether students will be improved in language content,accuracy,and pronunciation and intonation;and whether their attitudes will improve?Two research approaches,namely experiment and questionnaires are employed.A timespan of four months is devoted to probing outcomes of this experiment.The research subjects are two randomly-chosen classes of altogether 61 freshmen in some university located in Xi’an.The experiment includes three parts: pre-test,the application of the theory in class,and post-test.The results are obtained as below: first,students’ oral English has improved in all the three above-mentioned respects;second,students’ oral attitude has changed for the better;Finally,this study points out some possibly unavoidable problems met and offers helpful suggestions for relative research to come as a way of guiding future spoken English teaching. |
