The Chinses Translation Of " Dε-" In《The Threshold Of Fate》

The Uyghur language and Chinese language are greatly different from each other.From the perspective of language form,the Uyghur language is categorized as one of agglutinative languages,whereas the Chinese language is categorized as isolating language.From the perspective of syntactic features,the Uyghur language belongs to synthetic language and the Chinese is classified as analytical language.The verb “dε-” is widely and frequently applied in the modern Uyghur language.The meaning of this verb shall be varied as the verb is differently composed.Hence,it becomes significant to understand the meaning of this verb under different sentence structures while the verb is applied in communication or translated.The examples proposed by ilχard?an sadiq in the《The threshold of fate》are selected as the main materials to discuss the Chinese meanings of the Uyghur vocabularies,including co-verb“dεp” of “dε-” under “ p ”condition,participle forms of “dε-”,goal verb form and the special form being frequently occurring in the novel.This paper is divided into three following parts:1.Introduction.The reason why the topic is selected,research objective,research method and language material resource are mainly elaborated.2.The lexical meaning,occurrence frequency and proportion of “dε-” in the novel.The lexical meaning of the Uyghur verb “dε-” in the Dictionary of Detailed Uyghur(1992 Uyghur edition)and Uyghur and Chinese Dictionary are mainly elaborated.The occurrence frequency and proportion of “dε-” in the novel are calculated out.3.Chinese translation of different forms of “dε-” in《The threshold of fate》.The translation strategies towards different forms of “dε-” with high frequency of occurrence are concluded,and the acquired translation is analyzed.
