The source text is an excerpt of Mice,a famous novel by Gordon Reece. It is a literary work mirroring the nature of society, educating the victims of school bullying as well as leading people to think about the actual meaning of life.School bullying is a social problem to which people in China pay little attention,so Mice is chosen as the translation text, initiated by Principal of a middle school with an aim of educating students with literary.Through translation,it can help to guide the state of students and raise a flag to their parents. This paper chose conversational implicature as its theoretical framework,in that as a literary work, conversational implicature prevails in Mice in terms of rhetoric, context and culture.According to the Cooperative Principle, both sides of participants should observe quantity, quality, relation and manner maxims for the purpose of communication.Once the maxims are violated, the conversational implicature will naturally come into being. Therefore, the identification and translation of the violation of conversational implicature are very crucial. To this end,the translation practice was done under the guidance of readers' acceptability. The translation practice aims to provide some references to translators who are interested in literature translation. It also hopes to arouse the attention of people concerned to school bullying.Literature translation is a tough work, and the translator also presents some exiting problems as well as suggestions, hoping to provide some guidance for further study.
