A Study On Folk Characters Based On The Portuguese-Chinese Dictionary And Dictionary Of The Chinese Language

The communication between China and west countries has a long history.After the new travel routes opened up,a lot of westerners came to China continuously.The missionaries made outstanding contributions to the culture communicationbetween China and western.They wrote a larger number of books that relate to China,include Chinese phonetics,grammar,vocabulary,characters and so on.This article takes the Portuguese-Chinese Dictionary and Dictionary of the Chinese Language as our research materials.We comprehensively collecting Chinese folk characters combine with traditional Chinese dictionaries and local literature,show the characteristics and reflect the development tract of the Chinese characters.The main contents are as followed:Chapter One: Preface.First,make a brief introduction about the westerners’ understangding of Chinese characters in the background of the western learning spresding to the East.Then,introduce the object of this article and the current research status of these two dictionaries.At last,introduce the research contents,methods and the innovation points of this article.Chapter Two: The study of folk characters based on the Portuguese-Chinese Dictionary and Dictionary of the Chinese Language.First,make a tinroduction of the author.Second,from different writing characters and isomerism characters these two main aspects to make classification of the folk characters in this dictionary.Third,use traditionary Chinese dictionaries and ancient literature to analyze the inheritance of folk characters.At last,analyze the self-defined characters in the dictionary and put forward ou own views.Chapter Three: The study of folk characters based on Dictionary of the Chinese Language.First,make a brief introduction of the anthor and the structure and background of the Chinese-English dictionary.Second,select a part of characters to make a analyse and list a larger numbers of examples which we found in Chinese folk novels and librettos.Chapter Four: Summary.Firstly,put forward the research values of this article.Secondly,clarify the shortcomings of this article and put forward the expectation to future research work.
