A Study Of The Puppet �Diplomacy� Of Puppet Manchukuo And Other Puppet Governments In China

In 1931,the Mukden Incident,also called September 18 Incident,broke out.Northeast China gradually fall,and the last Chinese emperor Puyi,who was installed by the Japanese.This study examined the �diplomacy� of puppet Manchukuo through three parts.The first part mainly introduced the forming background of the �diplomatic activities� of puppet Manchukuo.Under the invasion policy of Japan against China,Japan built up puppet governments at all levels.The �diplomacy� of puppet Manchukuo was generated from the Japanese guidance under the invasion policy,so Japan had the actual �diplomatic� power of puppet Manchukuo.The purpose of the second part was to introduce main �diplomatic activities� between puppet Manchukuo and other puppet governments,like the puppet regime of Jidong anti-communist autonomous government,puppet Mongolian regime,Wang Ching-wei puppet regime,puppet temporary government of the republic of China,puppet regime of reform government.Under the control of Japan,puppet Manchukuo had little substantive international �diplomatic activities� in the whole world.In order to act as an �independent country� for releasing the international pressure on Japan,puppet Manchukuo had relatively frequently �diplomatic activities� with other puppet regimes.The duration of the existence of puppet Manchukuo was 14 years,and during this period,its main �diplomatic activities�were with other puppet governments.The third part focused on the discussion on the �diplomacy� of puppet Manchukuo,and the concluded characteristics and harmful effects.The �diplomatic activities� among the puppet regimes built up an illusion that these puppet governments were �independent�,which was like a smoke bomb to ease the external pressure on Japan from the other countries.Japan also accelerated the invasion of China's land and resources,which brought immeasurable disaster to the whole national economy of China.The �diplomacy� of the puppet regimes under the control of Japan reflected the new form of the Japanese colonial ruling.The �diplomatic activities� served the Japanese imperialist aggression strategy,and utilized Chinese labor,resources and materials to support the aggression war.At the same time,traitors and bureaucrats of the puppet regimes were trying to achieve their own aspirations by the powers of Japan.However,the properties of the puppet regimes indicated it was impossible.In a word,the �diplomacy� of puppet Manchukuo was the puppet �diplomacy� under the control of Japan.
