Research On The Development History Of Suzhou Oil Painting

The development of Suzhou oil painting has an important position in the history of Suzhou art history.This paper mainly combs and studies the development of Suzhou oil painting history,and introduces the generation,formation and development of it.In addition to the introduction,the paper has four parts.The first part is about the background of the formation of Suzhou oil painting.The second part analyzes the pomp of Suzhou oil painting before liberation.The third part is about the situation of Suzhou oil painting after liberation,which is divided into two periods: from liberation to the Cultural Revolution,and from Reform and Opening-up to today.And the fourth part analyzes the present situation and the prospect of Suzhou oil painting.Every part combs and analyzes Suzhou oil painting systematically according to the social politics,economy,art,etc.The older generation of oil painters Yan Wenliang,Hu Cuizhong and Zhu Shijie made a great contribution to generation and development of Suzhou oil painting.Yan Wenliang and others launched the “Suzhou Art Fair”,which is one of the most influential paintings in China before liberation.Also,they founded the Suzhou Academy of Fine Arts,published an art magazine—Yilang Magazine.They also established the first art museum of China—Suzhou Art Museum and trained many excellent art talents.Thus,these Suzhou oil painters such as Yan Wenliang are not only the pioneers and practitioners of Suzhou oil painting,but also the pioneers and practitioners of Chinese oil painting in the early twentieth Century.After the liberation,with the adjustment of national colleges,the Suzhou Academy of Fine Arts was moved out from Suzhou Province and a large number of outstanding painters were distributed across the country.Affected by the Cultural Revolution,Suzhou oil painting was almost paralyzed.After the Reform and Opening-up,the western art has been introduced,various art colleges were established and integrated in Suzhou,and high-level art talents were constantly introduced from all over the country,which played an important role in promoting the development of Suzhou oil painting.At that time,Suzhou oil painting was raging like a storm,various art galleries and paintings were newly established,oil painting groups were becoming more and more active and they participated in various exhibitions actively,which has been a remarkable boom.Because of the joint efforts of the old and new oil painters in Suzhou,Suzhou oil painting continued to grow,and got many awards in the national art exhibitions and painting exhibitions,which made a contribution to the development and promotion of Suzhou oil painting art and write a brilliant chapter of Suzhou oil painting in the development of Art.In recent years,by holding national oil painting exhibitions,it is believed that Suzhou oil painting Suzhou oil painting can go to the whole country and even the world with its unique artistic language in the near future.
