For a long time, the mechanism of negative priming effect has been mostly explained from the point of view of distractor inhibition theory or episodic retrieval theory. In recent years, however, negative priming studies have shown that the mechanism of this effect is not explained by a single theory. In addition,in the existing literature, few studies have combined the distractor saliency in the prime with and RSI to investigate the negative priming effect. So in our study,we used a variant of Ihrke et al in 2013 by using the research paradigm, using different priming conditions(TT,DT,control)interference stimulus based on the point of retrieval theory through experimental study by spatio-temporal separation of response-retrieval framework investigated the mechanism about negative priming, different distractor saliency how to influenced the priming effect and the regulation of negative priming effect by RSI.As we can see in the follows:First, the study reported that the negative priming effect mechanism supported by integration theory. And in the experimental paradigm, the target selection phase had significant negative priming effect while response selection phase had significant positive priming effect.Second, the significance of interference had a greater impact on the negative priming effect, and the higher the disturbance was,the greater the negative priming effect was.Third, the effect of RSI on the overall analysis of the negative priming effect was not obvious, but in the local reaction in the process of analysis, when the RSI was 750 ms,the effect of RSI on the negative priming was higher than when the RSI was 1500 ms.What’s more when the RSI was 5000 ms,the negative priming effect disappeared.
