The Reality And Dream Of The "Chick"

From its rise in the mid 1990s in Europe the Chick flick has been popular in Ho llywood from then on because of its extremely high cost performance in box office.Duri ng the recent years in China,with the wave of urbanization and the new awakening of fe minists,Chick flick is in the ascendant.It can be said that Chinese Chick flick is a micro cosm of Chinese so-called "leftover women" problem.The uniqueness of Chinese Chick f lick is inseparable with the contradiction between the modern women’s expectation and th e reality.In this paper,the Chinese Chick flick and its features will be analysed.
