Color has long been recognized by the people,while the color composition theory can explain the color from the existence to all the process of the whole process.Then people have a more thorough and complete understanding of color.Western painting begins with oil painting,so western artists use the theory of color composition in the art of painting earlier than us.According to their color hue,lightness,purity and other related research,they targeted add color elements to the art of painting.Due to this,the art of painting is even better.With a variety of colors to paint in our country started relatively late,the corresponding color theory is also being learning by Chinese artists just in the near and contemporary.Prior to this,the painting workers usually color and rendering the painting by their imagination and experience.Claborate-style painting is China's ancient art culture,heritage for thousands of years,experienced the process from prosperity to decline,after the reform and opening up again from the decline to prosperity.The times are advancing with the times,we should apply the theory of color to the claborate-style painting.This paper will make research and explore more practical for color theory and claborate-style painting combination.In this paper,we mainly use the research methods,starting from the actual painting,combing with color theory,explain the benefits of the application of color theory in the claborate-style painting.We pointed out the specific application of meticulous painting in color selection,color contrast and so on,it is convenient for the painting artists to use more suitable and more performance of the color of the subject.
