Rhetoric exists in many languages.When learning a second language,it can further grasp the target language through the study of figures of speech in a certain stage.Chinese rhetoric not only plays a role in the modification of the article,but also partly affects the students’ learning and communication with Chinese.However,compared with other teaching methods such as pronunciation,vocabulary and grammar,rhetorical teaching has been neglected in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.With the improvement of the Chinese proficiency of students,rhetorical learning has become an indispensable part.In recent years,more and more scholars have begun to pay attention to the important role of rhetoric in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.However,in addition to raising awareness of the rhetoric of Chinese as a foreign language,there are few studies on the practical strategies of rhetoric teaching for foreign students.This article takes the students ’compositions of HSK dynamic composition corpus and the students’ compositions of Anhui University as the research object,and makes an investigation and analysis of the use of the figures of speech by the students in the writing and their errors.The survey results show that the overall situation of using rhetoric for foreign students in China is not very satisfactory.The use of the rhetoric in HSK corpus’ composition discovery rhetorical works affects the performance of HSK writing to a certain extent.There are certain commonalities in the use of rhetoric in foreign students in different countries.There are a few types of rhetorical use and uneven distribution.The profiles of rhetorical use of students in daily writing in Anhui University are generally consistent with those of figures in the HSK corpus.Based on the statistics of rhetorical figures in the HSK corpus,these three types of figures are the most commonly used rhetorical figures.In addition,the author also found that foreign students in the use of commonly used rhetorical device when the high rate of error,to ask questions,rhetorical questions,metaphors and references as an example,Rhetorical device in rhetoric,errors mainly reflected in the abuse of the questioning and questioning In rhetorical rhetorical questions,the errors are mainly reflected in improper use of additional components and interrogative pronouns.In metaphorical rhetoric,the main problems are improper use of metaphor,improper use of metaphor,and cultural differences In the quotation rhetoric,the errors are mainly reflected in quoting Chinese allusions and documents,when the quoted words do not match the meaning to be expressed or quoted the famous sayings in mother tongue,the errors can not be correctly expressed in Chinese Appropriate meaning.Therefore,the author discusses the unsatisfactory use of figures of speech in the writing of foreign students in China from three aspects:the teacher’s teaching of rhetoric,the rhetorical arrangement of the teaching materials,and the learners themselves.Teaching strategies and hope can be helpful to the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.
