| Learning motivation can start the learning behavior,maintain the enthusiasm for learning,and determine the success or failure of learning.Among the factors that affect the learning effectiveness of second language learners,the learning motivation is an essential factor,which is second only to the learning ability(Skehan,1989).In recent decades,many researchers have studied the influence of learning motivation on learning outcomes in second language learning;and the relationship between them,as well as the factors that influence learning motivation.This article is composed of five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which expounds the reasons of the topic selection,the research contents,the significance of the research and the related theories of the influencing factors of learning motivation and motivation.The second chapter is the summary of the research.It summarizes the development and achievement of research motivation and demotivation influencing factors both at home and abroad.The third and fourth chapters are composed of the research design,the statistics,and analysis of the results of the investigation.The fifth chapter is the conclusion that is based on the results of the research,it further summarizes and discusses,and put forwards suggestions for South Korean learners to reduce or eliminate the demotivation factors.The results of the research show that: firstly,the results of research on motivation among South Korean students who are studying Chinese in China shows that the two of the first and second ranking is achievement motivation.The instrumental motivation,regarded as the first motivation by South Korean learners in the last decade,just ranked as third and fourth respectively.So,this paper explains the motivation orientation of Chinese learners who are from South Korean via two perspectives.From the perspective of concept and values,the respondents’ recognition of achievement motivation is quite high;and from the perspective of learning goals,the instrumental motivation has the highest proportion which is related to certificates and employment.In the past,the researches on Chinese learning motivation of South Korean learners focused on instrumental motivation analysis but ignored the role of achievement motivation in the learning process.In a word,the instrumental motivation is used to highlight the students who study the Chinese language with minimal enthusiasm,and the achievement motivation and other psychological factors are used to support the learners who are intrinsically motivated.At last,according to the results of the survey,the demotivation influencing factors show the teacher has a significant influence on the South Korean learner.At the same time,it shows that although the South Korean learners’ integrative motivation is shallow,it does not mean that the South Korean learners are holding a negative attitude to China and Chinese.Moreover,to this designed option of “I do not like China or Chinese,” only 10% of the participants agreed,that shows that South Korean learners hold a positive attitude towards Chinese culture. |
