Research On Rural Governance In The Context Of New Urbanization

Urbanization is a must for China modernization, and a new type of urbanization has been included in national development strategy in 2014, which completely changed previous management structure of countryside. With the rapid development of the very type of urbanization, the sharp contrast between urban and rural area still exists. The phenomenon that rural population flow to urban area is posing tremendous influence on such factors as socio-economic structure, governance mode, and production modes of countryside. Countryside is the foundation of a modern national governance system and capability, therefore, the development and improvement of which has become a new challenge and a new topic.By basing on a typical representative of new countryside—Jiangxiang village, this study probes into a brand-new development mode for similar villages by conducting surveys and contrastive analysis. Besides, by explaining related governance theories, author tends to make clear relations between countryside governance and urbanization, and summarize opportunities and challenges for countryside governance, and then analyzes in depth the development mode, basis and internal mechanism of Jiangxiang village. Then “Jiangxiang Mode” comes into existence, featuring party branch as the major governance body, village committee and talents as a secondary governance body. Based on experience from governance mode of Jiangxiang village, constructive comments are put forward, so as to promote the new type urbanization of our country.
