The Current Situation Of Undergraduates' Network Political Participation And Solution Research

Compared with the traditional political participation,the Internet narrows the gap between political and common people and meanwhile brings a brand-new mode of political participation and discussion:network political participation.However,influenced by the macro and micro factors like the economic foundation,historic culture,political psychology and population characteristics,the application of the Internet in the political field does not renovate citizens' political participation as expected.On the contrary,it has given rise to many problems,such as network group polarization,network violence and network populism,etc.Concerning how to further improve the network political participation awareness,standardize the network political participation behavior and make network political participation orderly and effectively,this paper investigates the network political participation of around 500 undergraduates in five universities in Shaanxi Province through the method of questionnaire.The investigation shows:the undergraduate group is still far from politics and network does not improve the network political participation awareness of the undergraduates.Through investigation,it is known that the network political participation of undergraduates in Shaanxi Province has the following three features:the high network utilization rate and low network political participation,close relations between online and offline participation,high rationalization under the low network political participation.Meanwhile,it also involves three problems:insufficient activeness of online participation;randomization tendency in online participation;insufficient online participation depth and low sense of political efficacy.Aiming at the existing problems,we should start from three aspects:the government,the school and the society.We should fully exert the dominant role of the government in four aspects:promoting the network legalization construction and standardizing the network political participation;creating the government network platform and promoting the government's information publicity;enlarging the government's publicity strength;perfecting the government's emergency management mechanism.In addition,we should strengthen the school's promotion role in network political participation,attach importance to cultivating the undergraduates'political theoretical knowledge and basic skills,guide the students to conduct orderly political participation and create the good participatory atmosphere.Meanwhile,tap the society's potential of providing conditions for undergraduates' network political participation,strengthen moral construction,create the high-quality environment for network political participation through the public media and turn the community into an effective channel to cultivate the new subjects of political participation.
