Mathematical thinking is the soul of mathematics, and is the intrinsic request of the mathematics teaching. The latest primary school mathematics teaching materials have increased the content of "mathematical thinking" thematic unit, highlight the function and role of mathematical thinking in mathematics teaching. The purpose of mathematics teaching in the primary school is not only to let students learn,understand and grasp mathematical knowledge, but more important is to teach students the way of learning mathematics, and cultivate good mathematical thinking and the ability of mathematical thought of students, set up the concept of using mathematical model to solve practical problems. The formation of mathematical thought is closely related to the mathematics teaching process, to cultivate the students' mathematical thinking and the ability of solving practical problems is the core of mathematics teaching, but because the development of the "four base" in the mathematics teaching in our country is not yet mature, some teachers don't have a deep understanding of the "four base", and the position is not clear, so leading to the fact that the current mathematics teaching still has some problems especially in the primary schools, and doesn't carry out the "four base". This thesis reveals the current teaching problems in “mathematical thinking” thematic unit through analyzing the current teaching situation of it. And then it compares the content of “mathematical thinking” thematic unit of the current four sets of teaching materials in primary schools horizontally and vertically, and analyzes the similarities and differences between these teaching materials systematically to further emphasize the importance of mathematical thinking and the feasibility of infiltrating mathematical thinking in teaching. In the end, through interpreting the curriculum standard, students, and teaching materials, it makes a teaching analysis and case study on the teaching of“mathematical thinking” thematic unit, and puts forward some guiding suggestions to primary school mathematical teachers in their future's teaching of “mathematical thinking” thematic unit.
