Technical Analysis And Countermeasure Of Men's Basketball Team Of Xiamen University In The "Super League"

Chinese University Basketball Super League (CUBS) is one of the special universities'basketball leagues; it is playing an important part on developing individuals and promoting sustainable development of basketball in China. Men's basketball team of Xiamen University is an emerging power at CUBS in recent years. With success achieved, Xiamen Basketball team has showed its unique charm. To full understand the technical characteristics of Men's basketball team of Xiamen University, we selected its technical information of home games in last three seasons (from 2012 to 2015). By means of video analysis, expert interview, literature consulting and logical analysis, we found that the basketball center of Xiamen University has excellent physical condition compared with other teams in South Division of CUBS, but perimeter players are worse. Two-point shooting accounts for the higher proportion in the games, but three-point shooting just has a small proportion compared with other teams. The team has good performance of assist and offensive rebound. Due to unnecessary faults and fouls, it shows low efficiency in offense. In the meanwhile, the bad cooperation of players causes lower efficiency in defense. Based on technical information of men's basketball team of Xiamen University, the author suggested that it is very important to improve the players' physical conditions, enhancing outside shooting, protecting rebounds and reinforcing defense for elevating the basketball level of Xiamen University. These opinions provide a valuable reference for how to become a powerful team in Super League as soon as possible.
