Learners' language ability of comprehensive application can be shown through the writing.The complexity of English writing has bothered students a lot and the main reason is the influence of cultural negative transfer.In order to improve the English writing of the students in Senior High School and reduce the influence of cultural negative transfer,this thesis focuses on the survey of this phenomenon.This thesis aims to put forward some reasonable suggestions,strengthen the consciousness of culture and cultural contrast through the survey so that it can improve the students' English writing.The respondents are 228 students and 6 teachers in Mu Danjiang NO.1 Senior High School.The research instruments are questionnaire,written tests and interview.The common errors caused by the native culture negative transfer in English writing of Senior High School are mainly on vocabulary,syntax and discourse.These errors are caused not only by the influence of cultural negative transfer,but also the lack of cultural contrast ability.This thesis puts forward some implications to the teaching of English writing: first,both teachers and students should have a deep understanding of cultural negative transfer and the importance of cultural difference.Second,students should improve their ability of cultural contrast,at the same time,teachers should strengthen the guidance of culture.
