Social Work Intervention In The Negative Emotions Of International Adoption Orphans

Orphans are special vulnerable groups in our society,but also the object of attention from social work.Last year,the State Council put the troubled children into protection scope.All kinds of orphans has been taken care of in the basic material aspects.With the international relationship developing closely and deeply,the number of international adoption orphans gradually increases.Every year our country also sent nearly a thousand orphans into new families abroad.Before sending these orphans to foreign countries,a series of problems should cause our attention.In view of the international orphans,previous studies are mainly concentrated in the legal field and the civil affairs sector experience summary.For the legal deficiencies and practical problems in the operation,they put forward improvement measures in order to make up for the inadequacy of these aspects.But rarely from the problems of the international orphans before adoption,they seldom explore their complex psychological problems and negative emotional behavior at this time.In this paper,ten orphans in orphan school of J province are studied and pay attention to their negative performance in the process.Such as they are reluctant to leave their friends,teachers,and familiar environment and are fear of unknown overseas countries during the process of adoption.The level of attachment is significantly more than the normal emotional expression.As they they are generally under 14 years of age,can not reasonably deal with their negative emotions,but also no guardians to give psychological counseling and behavioral correction.Finally it aggregated the emotional and behavioral problems.If we ignore this question,that affect the establishment of the adoptive relationship and do harm to their growth.Based on the cognitive behavior theory of social work,this paper treat the negative emotional behavior problem as the target.Grasping the deep factors of the problem and using the group work supplemented by case work,we can weaken and resolve the the negative emotions and establish and strengthen positive emotions.Through the implementation of systematic intervention program,it not only can help the orphans correctly understand the foreign adoption of this major choice,but also can help them learn to master the rational emotional therapy to deal with the subsequent emotional and behavioral problems.Finally,so as to guarantee the rights and interests of orphans and provide strong social support,this paper proposes to adjust the relevant legal system and policy management measures of foreign-related adoption from the macroscopic level.
