Objective: The purpose of this study was to explore the influence of heel-toe drop on body posture and loading of lower limbs during running.in order to provide theoretical basis for optimization design of shoe,Methods: the Participants wore shoes with different heel-toe drop to complete the running test at a speed of 4±0.2 m/s which was monitored by a portable speed measuring system(Newtest,Powertimer,Finland).Their kinematic and kinetic data of lower extremity were collected synchronously by infrared high-speed motion capture system(Motion Analysis Raptor-4,USA,200 Hz)and 3D force plates(Kistler,9281 CA,Switzerland,1000 Hz).Results: Lower drop shoes was associated with lower step length,During the gait cycle, support phase and the buffer period decreased with decrease of drop, wearing lower drop shoes was associated with strategy of decreased stride length and increased frequency. The ankle plantar flexion angle increased and foot-ground angle reduced significantly at initial contact.Wearing lower drop shoes had no significant effect on ground impact, but the loading rate increased significantly. In the support phase, knee extension moment, centrifugal power, absorbed energy and patellofemoral joint force decreased, meanwhile ankle valgus moment, rotary moment, generated energy and Achilles tendon force increased significantly. Conclusion: 1,Heel-toe drop of shoes had significant effect on body posture.wearing lower drop shoes was associated with strategy of decreased stride length and increased frequency, the ankle plantar flexion angle increased and foot-ground angle reduced significantly at initial contact.2,Heel-toe drop of shoes had significant effect on the loading of lower limbs. With the decrease of the heel-toe drop, the extension moment, power and absorbed energy of knee joint decreased, the moment and generated energy of ankle joint increased significantly.Patellofemoral joint force decreased,Achilles tendon force increased significantly.
