In September,2016,the general framework and basic content of “Core Competencies and Values for Chinese Students' Development” was announced by Beijing Normal University at the conference of research results.“Core Competencies and Values for Chinese Students' Development” is a detailed answer of the task “virtue pursuit and talent cultivation” and an overall objective of talent cultivation in our country.It defines “what virtues to pursuit and what kind of talent to cultivate” and puts the educational policy of our party into practice.It's a powerful lever for promoting curriculum reform.“Core Competencies and Values for Chinese Students' Development” is a macroscopical statement and it's interdisciplinary.The development of students' competencies can not be separated from the practice of specific subject teaching.So the research of the connection between “Core Competencies and Values for Chinese Students' Development” and subject curriculum has great theoretical and practical significance.As one of the compulsory courses at elementary education stage,music lesson must be closely connected to core competencies.This research aims to build a connecting mode between “Core Competencies and Values for Chinese Students' Development”and subject curriculum according to our own national conditions and by using the related experience at home and aboard for reference.It also aims to apply this connecting mode to music course,considering the educational value and practical experience of music.In this way,we can manage to put “Core Competencies and Values for Chinese Students' Development” into practice in music teaching practice.The thesis consists of five chapters.The first chapter is introduction,it tells the background,purpose,significance,conditions and methods of the research.The second chapter is literature review,it first collects and analyzes the related documents at home and aboard,then it classifies them and clarifies the key concept,summarizes the experience of connecting “Core Competencies and Values for Chinese Students' Development” and curriculum at home and aboard.The third chapter is the theoretical research part,it first analyzes the present situation and disadvantages of the practice of connecting between “Core Competencies and Values for Chinese Students' Development” and curriculum in our country.On this basis,it puts forward the connecting mode named “Core tasks + Important topics” and applies it to music curriculum.The forth chapter is the practice part.The author examines “Core tasks + Important topics” by putting it into music teaching practice and proves its practicability in the music teaching through teaching design,questionnaire,classroom observation and interview.The fifth chapter is the conclusion and prospect part,it summarizes the theoretical and practical exploration mentioned before and gives advice for the connection between “Core Competencies and Values for Chinese Students' Development” and curriculum.
