Chinese is a subject closely related with society,history,culture and human life.The most important content of Chinese education activities is studying native language and its inclusion of national spirit and historic culture and cultivating language sentiment ability and innovation ability.The excellent literary works in Chinese textbooks contain various images and sincere feelings.In terms of Chinese modern literature works with characteristic language,teachers should further understand and inherit the ideology and culture contained with students through the carrier,language,in the teaching process.However,the studies of the combination of the language characteristics in Chinese modern literature and Chinese teaching are far from enough,which leads to many problems in the teaching of modern Chinese literature in middle school.Chinese modern literature works in Compulsory Education Curriculum Standard Experimental Textbook · Chinese(hereinafter referred to as the modern Chinese literature works selected)published by People's Education Press are the object in this study.From the perspectives of teaching objectives,teaching content,teaching methods and teaching evaluation,the study mainly analyses language characteristics of Chinese modern literary works and the Chinese modern literature works selected and existing problems and corresponding coping strategies in teaching and learning process.There are four sections in this paper.The introduction part: Introduce the research significance and current situation of this topic are introduced and concepts in this study are defined,which is the preparation for the following researches on this topic.Chapter ?: This chapter elaborates the three language movements of Chinese modern literature in the last 30 years and makes a summary of main language characteristics of Chinese modern literature works: colloquialization,Europeanization and classicality.Additionally,language characteristics in Chinese modern literature works selected are concretely analyzed.Chapter ?: The questionnaire method is applied in this study to get acknowledge of middle school students' and teachers' current understanding of modern Chinese literature and find out the problems in learning and teaching process of Chinese modern literature.Moreover,attribution analysis is made from the levels of teachers,students and the classroom to figure out that the negative impact of insufficient language understanding on the learning and teaching process of Chinese modern literature works selected.Chapter ? : This chapter puts forward some suggestions on teaching modern Chinese literature works selected from the aspects of the design of teaching objectives,the determination of teaching content,the selection of teaching methods and the improvement of teaching evaluation.Teaching objectives of modern Chinese literature works selected should be determined by language intuition,appreciation and expression.Additionally,teaching content can be enriched by appreciation of vocabulary,sentence structure,rhetoric and language styles.Teaching method should be selected based on various teaching methods such as inspiration method,comparative and substitutive method and combination of reading and writing.Finally,the evaluation system should be improved from perspectives of evaluation objectives,evaluation content and evaluation subject.In addition to the basic understanding of language in modern Chinese literature works selected,teachers should lead students to further understand the literature content.
