U-S cooperation refers to cooperation between universities(U)and elementary and middle schools(S).Through U-S cooperation,the theoretical knowledge of university experts is combined with the teaching practice of teachers in the primary and secondary schools.Through the experts' entry into the classroom,problems are discovered and puzzles are resolved,thereby promoting the development of primary and secondary school teachers.On the basis of carding relevant literature of U-S cooperation,the author,combing with the reality of current rural junior middle school chemistry teaching,compiled the“ Investigation of the Current Professional Development of Chemistry Teachers in Rural Junior Middle Schools”questionnaire.First of all,the author conducted surveys and interviews with X teachers of rural junior middle school chemistry teachers to lay the foundation for follow-up case studies,and reached the following conclusions through interviews and investigations:(1)As a whole,the X teacher have good communication and cooperation skills,high enthusiasm to participate in cooperation,and have a certain degree of research consciousness;(2)The X teacher have a strong professional development intention;(3)The X teacher can be aware of and able to discover some problems with her professional development,such as lack of understanding of new curriculum concepts,incomplete attention to teaching objectives,and effectiveness of classroom teaching.Based on the above conclusions,The U-S cooperation academic community was built.Including various U-S cooperative research methods such as quality classes observation(videos provided),group preparation for lessons(pre-class U-S lesson preparation),remote network lesson training(two lessons and two reflections),on-site lesson training(two lessons and two reflections),etc.Over five months,seven course topics and forty classroom observations were completed.Through self-compilation of the questionnaire about "U-S Collaboration on Rural Junior Middle School Chemistry Teachers" and the author interviews with teachers and students,the effectiveness of different U-S cooperation methods topromote the professional development of teachers was investigated:(1)U-S cooperation can effectively promote the professional development of rural junior high school chemistry teachers and promote their classroom teaching capabilities.(2)In the course of U-S cooperation,The effectiveness of teachers' professional development is in the order of on-site training,online training,group preparation for lessons,and high-quality observation.(3)U-S cooperation can also promote the teaching research ability of junior middle school chemistry teachers.
