The issue of poverty is not only a social problem that restricts the social and economic development of all countries in the world, but also an important issue in academic research. As a developing country with the most populous population in the world, for a long time China,as a result of the dual structure of urban and rural areas and the differences in social and economic development across the country, has shown that the problem of poverty in our country is mainly characterized by the poverty of the rural population. In the 1980s,our country began to carry out planned, organized and large-scale poverty alleviation work in vast rural areas. After more than 30 years of unremitting efforts,China has rid more than 700 million rural poor people of poverty and set themselves the target of global poverty reduction Career made an important contribution. In recent years, with the continuous and in-depth poverty alleviation work, the number of rural poor in our country has continued to decrease, and the poverty rate has also dropped. However, from a national perspective, the phenomenon of rural population poverty has not yet been eradicated, and poverty remains the outstanding issue that restricts China's social and economic development. In recent years,as the precise poverty alleviation work continues in the vast rural areas, the number of people living in absolute poverty in rural areas has been declining. With the reduction of the absolute poverty population, the situation of poverty alleviation in our country has also changed. One of the outstanding features is that the remaining rural poor in our country are increasingly concentrated in the rural areas in the central and western parts of China, especially ethnic minority areas. In the rural areas of Guangxi, people's ideas and concepts are still influenced by the traditional gender division of labor. It is generally accepted that men are the masters of the family and that women are positioned as the housewives in charge of household chores. For a long time, the traditional concept of gender roles of "male and female" and the gender role division of "male leader and female leader" have a profound impact on the role expectation and code of conduct of both men and women.Men are usually engaged in productive work that connects both family and society, while women are tied within the family and undertake reproductive work such as childcare, family care and housework.Since productive work is recognized by individuals and society,it usually appears in the national economy statistics.Reproductive work,on the other hand,is usually-unpaid and is not counted in traditional economic statistics. It is obvious that the role and contribution of men in promoting social and economic development are obvious. However, the economic contribution and development needs of women are often neglected. In order to gain a better understanding of the poverty status quo, causes of poverty and development needs of rural ethnic minority women in Guangxi in order to put forward targeted and feasible solutions to the problems and provide scientific reference for the future work of poverty alleviation departments,From October to November 2016,a field survey was conducted in Kan Ai Village,a poor minority village located in the rural areas along the Sino-Vietnamese border in Guangxi. This study is a field survey based on the era of precise poverty alleviation and gender perspective. So,under the current background of vigorously promoting accurate poverty alleviation in the country, what is the poverty status of women in minority ethnic groups in Kan Ai Village? What are the reasons for the poverty of ethnic women in Kan Ai Village? What are the practical gender needs and strategic gender needs of ethnic minority women in Kan Ai Village? What countermeasures or suggestions should be taken to help women in Kan Ai Village achieve poverty reduction and development? These are the main issues to be studied in this article. The field survey data show that the poverty-stricken status quo and characteristics of minority women in Kan Ai Village are as follows:low technical content of livelihood activities, low personal economic income, backward development concept and weak market awareness, poor health condition and sick work phenomenon, low education level, lack of development capacity. From the perspective of gender, the reason is due to the influence of traditional gender concept;the minority women have to shoulder the dual needs of production and reproduction and the gender needs of minority women can not be met.In view of the above situation, this study put forward the countermeasures and suggestions to solve the poverty of minority women in Kan Ai Village:to carry out statistics and reporting on the poverty-stricken population of minority women in Kan Ai Village;to give play to the poverty alleviation function of social security system to protect the poor minority women basic life;Raise the human capital of ethnic women through compulsory adult education;carry out social work and empower minority women.
