With development of media technology, especially web 2.0,a lot of new media emergent, such as Wiki, blog, SNS,RSS.Social question and answer network is one of these new media.Recently,Social question and answer network is developing rapidly, registered users growing from a million to hundred millions, different types of networks created. Social question and answer network combines advantages of online Q&A platform and SNS, it remake the relationship between people and message, message and message,people and people.Based on uses and gratifications theory, this article focus on Zhihu, we summarize development and research situation of social question and answer network, we interviewed 22 Zhihu users and collected 256 questionnaires.In the end,we conclude that people use Zhihu for 6 motives, knowledge seeking, interest,social, self-express, pass time, emotion, furthermore we study different motive for different people.In the first part, this article overview the development of social question and answer network, then we interviewed 22 users and bring up hypothesis.By collecting 256 questionnaires, we conclude that knowledge and interest is the center for social question and answer network.
